CIPAC PARTICIPATES IN A MEETING WITH THE PERMANENT DELEGATION OF URUGUAY TO UNESCO IN PARIS

The members of CIPAC, Prof. Dr. Rodrigo Torres and the researcher Dr. Samila Ferreira in the meeting with the permanent delegation of Uruguay to Unesco in Paris.

In this meeting we were able to update the ambassador, mrs. Alejandra de Bellis and her team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministerial advisor and deputy of the permanent delegation mrs. Carolina Villarrubia and the counselor Mrs. Cristina Mansilla, about our activities, achievements and perspectives of CIPAC related to the underwater cultural heritage of Uruguay.

In this instance, some guidelines were also discussed towards Uruguay approaching the signing of the Unesco Convention for the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage, and the difficulties currently encountered in the country for scientific research on the subject.
