Facility Optimization Project for the Cultural Resources Conservation Laboratory from CURE/UDELAR

FACILITY OPTIMIZATION PROJECT FOR CULTURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION LABORATORY FROM URUGUAYAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES G17.18.3

Recently, our research group (CIPAC) approved a project for infra-structural qualification of the Conservation Laboratory in a concurrent call through the Cultural Incentive Fund (FI) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) from Uruguay.
The project was chosen by priority and our has been well positioned. Once we obtain this grant, the CURE Maldonado will be in a high level position in regard of higher education scope. Our research group has also assigned important agreements with international institutions in the USA and Europe, and has also became a member of the UNESCO-Unitwin network for underwater archeology. This means that Uruguayan students will have the opportunity to learn and work from the most expert teachers in the world on the subject.
The Cultural Incentive Funds (FI) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) seeks sponsorship for those projects chosen in change of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) stamp and fiscal benefits (see details in the attached file). All the investment received will be managed by a national council (CONAEF) through stages to be completed. At this moment we are in the process of recruitment. The maximum amount we can raise is three (3) million Uruguayan pesos that can be distributed by quotas and by different companies.
The project seeks support to readjust our conservation laboratory for the conservation of cultural assets (facility and equipment). This facility will be pioneer in South America in regarding to a teaching institution.
Our program in Underwater Archeology, since the 2000s, was also a great step in the academic research of the country and now, with this great possibility, we can expand this vocation of pioneering in Uruguay.
In the attached file follows the guide on the FI along  with the awarded project and a curriculum about our research group in recent years.
We are available and open at any time to discuss more about our project and our actions at CIPAC.
