Testing AR of archaeological objects in 3D

Welcome! This is a page of tests from our digital preservation strategies of Cultural Heritage that we are developing with Lucas Vignoli at CIPAC.

Nowadays the three-dimensional models are an important tool for studying, preserving and diffusion of the Cultural Heritage.

The three-dimensional model used here was produced with the photogrammetry techniques using a camera GOPRO 4 of an anchor which is 72 ft deep at the Bahia de Todos os Santos Bay, Brazil corresponding the archaeological site of the Dutch vessel Utrecht (1648) (Rodrigo Torres, 2015).

STEPS:

1) Download the APP;

2) Open the APP and scan the QR code;

3) Move your mobile to enjoy the augmented reality (AR) experience.

To check this model download the APP  (available only for Android for a while) accessing link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6VcDIl9cJXzVjByT2N2NElWem8

Scan the QR code and enjoy the 3D model:
